Duck Work helping me install and test a French Drain.
It was a very hot day in Moore Oklahoma. We had finished installing a French Drain. It ran along a stockade fence in the front yard. It turned North running under the fence into the back yard. It ran to a pop-up emitter in the corner of the backyard.
Oklahoma Drainage runs many tests during the installation of a French Drain. The last one we do is simply putting a running garden hose at the beginning of the French Drain. This demonstrates to the customer water flowing in the French Drain and Leaving the exit pop-up emitter.
We started the test. Immediately a mother duck and her many babies appeared from under a nearby bush in the neighbor’s flowerbed. They went directly to the running hose. The party was on!
I may need to put them on the payroll.
